This training is focused on writing better code. The training is aimed at junior to medior software developers, and for everyone who regularly writes code (test automation engineers, for example). This is a two day training. In the first day, the focus will be on the following subjects:
The second day, the participants will work on a case study to build a REST API from scratch in Java with the Spring framework. The participants will get a certain degree of freedom to focus on aspects they want to improve in afterwards. This can be unit testing, integration testing, general software development or making CI pipelines. Basic knowledge of programming is required and basic knowledge of object oriented programming is helpful.
The course was very well organized. You could tell the teacher was passionate and knowledgeable and was able to explain the topics in an easy to understand manner, taking into account each students level.
The training was very helpful for me to get a better overall understanding on how to build an application and how to unit test it. The course went at a nice pace and had a good mix of theory explanations and hands-on practice.
The course was a great success. The assignments were done in Java, but the mindset of writing clean and testable code can be applied to any language. Would definitely recommend!
